TARC Industries Residential Shredding Program will have new changes effective July 1, 2021.

Due to an increase in cost of recycling paper, we have made the difficult decision to change the way we offer our residential shredding program. We will be offering $10 security shred bags for you to purchase as needed to bring your residential shredding to TARC Industries. If you don’t want to purchase a bag, you can still bring in a single-person carry box that can be shredded for $10. This allows us to continue to provide residential shredding at an affordable rate and continue to provide job training opportunities to those we support at TARC Industries.

Effective July 1, 2021 drop off hours will occur between 9:30am – 3:00pm.   

DROP OFF BUSINESS CUSTOMERS:   Effective July 1, 2021 – we will be charging $10 per box.  We ask that the boxes be in a carry size box (a box that you could comfortably carry inside the building).   Payable at the time of service.   

We accept:  confidential paper, office paper, shredded paper,  newspaper, magazines/catalogs, and junk mail

Items not accepted include: household waste, medical supplies, glass, cell phones, batteries, bulk cardboard

Awards

In 2014, TARC Industries was the local Keep America Beautiful-Topeka/Shawnee County in the Civic/Non-Profit-Waste Reduction category award.

Topeka and Shawnee County was awarded 10 out of the 36 national Awards.

TARC Industries received 2nd Place for the Waste Reduction for Civic/Non-Profit.
